 It's the start of a new year and I thought I should set some writing goals for myself.

I prefer to set my goals on the low side and then exceed them, rather than to set them high and fail. It's better for my mental health, and a year is a long time.

So. My goal for the year is to produce 200k words of rough draft, whether that's fanfiction or original, and to edit at least one page per day.

That last one is particularly low because I'm trying to encourage myself to finally work through the edits on a story that I love, but that was written before I had a handle on writing mechanics. I figure that if I do a page a day, I'll get through more of it than I did last year. Here's hoping. I'm going to start today, anyway.
